Honiton Show 2009. Judge Ian Waldron

Our intermediate fawn Caton Caliph of Classical MileEnd was Show Champion with CME Cassandra Champion Fawn Female. Both fawns are CME Tulaco Centurion progeny and the Champion Brown owned by Popham Alpacas was Centurion’s son too.

Dovecote Jaquinto was one of the nominated sires at the British Alpaca Futurity 2008 at Newbury Racecourse. His first progeny did exceptionally well. The judges were Mike Safley (USA) and Paul Cullen (UK).

The junior white female class was split and Classical MileEnd Venus was awarded a second place rosette as was Alpaca Stud Lambada while Alpaca Stud Waltz was fourth.. The junior white male class was also split and Classical MileEnd Julius won first, Classical MileEnd Paris took a second with Alpaca Stud Veuve Cliquot third and Caton Rhinestone Cowboy fourth. And finally MileEnd Adonis took fourth in the junior fawn male class. Two of our female fawn intermediate girls did well too. Classical Athena, sired by Benleigh Talisman of CME was Reserve Fawn Female Champion and first in her class with Elite Francesca, sired by Shanbrooke Distinction of CME taking second.

BAS/SWAG Spring Show 2008. Judges Nick Harrington Smith and Gaia Dakalo

We had a very good show with Dovecote Jaquinto’s progeny winning the Sire’s Progeny Sash. Our young white male Classical MileEnd Paris was Junior Champion Male and Classical MileEnd Venus was Reserve Champion Junior Female. MileEnd Adonis, a fawn junior male won his class as did our intermediate fawn EAI Francesca with Classical Athena second.

The white classes were so huge that they had to be split and two of our other young white males Classical MileEnd Julius and Classical MileEnd Lazarus were awarded sixth place rosettes.

Alpaca Show at Vierzon, France March 29, 2008. Judge Dominic Lane

Our male Shanbrooke Distinction of Classical MileEnd distinguished himself by winning the Sire’s Progeny group. Distinction’s progeny were shown by John Peeters of Alpaca International in Belgium.

Shanbrooke Distinction of Classical MileEnd is now back in sunny Devon and available for stud work. We have found him exceptionally good at putting show class fleeces on to coloured females. Last year his coloured progeny group were 2nd at the Royal Bath & West Show and third at the BAS National Show at Newark & Notts.
Dovecote Jaquinto’s progeny did well again at the Heart of England Spring Fiesta coming second in the Sire’s Progeny class with Alpaca Stud Waltz winning a very large Junior White Female Huacaya class and Alpaca Stud Tango coming third in the Junior Fawn Female Huacaya class.

Devon County Show May 16/17 2008. Judges: Nick Harrington Smith and Vicky Agar

We had a marvellous couple of days at the Devon Show with Classical MileEnd Paris getting the ticket as Show Champion Huacaya and White Male Colour Champion. The sweet little junior Classical MileEnd Venus won her class and was White Female Colour Champion and MEF Adonis was Fawn Male Colour Champion. CME Gaia was second in the split white junior female class and the two intermediate fawns were first and second in their class.

Royal Bath & West 2008. Judge Val Fullerlove

Our Dovecote Jaquinto progeny group did it again coming first in a big class with a second Jaquinto group in third. CME Paris and CME Venus were both third in their classes with MEF Adonis first in the fawn junior male. Classical Cornelia – the first cria by CME Tulaco Centurion we have shown – was second in the fawn junior female class and Classical Icarus, a young black male took a second too. CME Gaia who was just old enough to go into the intermediate white female class took a third even though she is very overfleeced and Bozedown Blackjack, intermediate black female was third.

Our two intermediate fawn females Athena and Francesca were first and second in their class respectively.
The Alpaca Stud’s Jaquinto progeny took home some rosettes as well with two white female juniors coming first and second, a young white male who had just gone into the intermediate class coming third and a junior grey male being awarded the Grey Colour Championship.

North Devon Show August 2008. Judge Liz Barlow

CME Paris was awarded Show Champion Huacaya, White Male Colour Champion and first in the White Male Intermediate class. CME Venus was White Female Colour Champion with CME Gaia as Reserve. In the fawns – CME Tulaco Centurion took the fawn male colour championship and was Reserve Show Champion Huacaya. MEF Adonis was the Reserve Fawn Male Colour Champion.

Heart of England Fleece Show Oct 5, 2008. Judge Cameron Holt

Classical MileEnd Julius won the first prize in a class of 21 intermediate white fleeces with a fabulous score of 85. He is a Dovecote Jaquinto son as is the Alpaca Stud’s Nyetimber who won the Grey Colour Championship ribbon. Our little black girl Lucina did well too winning first prize in the Junior Black fleece.
