About Us

Classical MileEnd Alpacas is owned and run by Chas Brooke and Rachel Hebditch. We maintain one of the largest breeding herds of alpacas in Devon. We are committed to the long term development of the British alpaca and its fibre. Much investment has been made in the selection and import of stud males to improve fibre quality and yield.

Our Services

We can offer advice on every aspect of alpaca ownership from land set-up and management to all aspects of husbandry plus support in the marketing of your alpacas. We will generally have a wide range of animals for sale.

Classical MileEnd Alpacas are able to offer the following to both prospective and experienced Alpaca owners:

  • Advice on all aspects of Alpaca ownership. We advise on land layout and suitability and offer training on all aspects of routine husbandry.
  • Commitment to the well being and long term health of the Alpaca, investment in improving breeding lines and the education of new owners.
  • Sales of our own bred animals, and we are also extremely happy to include clients' animals within our sale stock to be sold on a commission basis. All sale stock is British Alpaca Society and British Llama and Alpaca Association registered. All records are computerised using specialist alpaca software.
  • Stud services to carefully selected award winning superior males from the UK, American and Australian bred stock, enables us to offer Peruvian and Chilean white and coloured genetics. We offer both on farm, drive-by and mobile mating services.
  • Alpaca specialist books on sale from stock.
  • Alpaca husbandry services including shearing, teeth and nail clipping, worming and vaccination. Alpaca transport in specially designed trailer.
  • Own brand alpaca coarse mix containing elevated levels of essential minerals and a free access granular mineral lick especially for alpacas.
  • Ultrasound scanning using our equipment ensures accurate pregnancy confirmation.
  • Agistment (livery) services for those wishing a rewarding investment but without the land or time necessary.
  • Telephone advice is always available.
