I was idly wondering as I drove down the motorway to the veterinary lab at Starcross what the traffic cops would say when they found a frozen alpaca in the boot. There were an alarming number of police cars around but I was very law abiding and went along very slowly at 70mph. The vaccine boys Intervet are paying for the post mortem on our weanling boy but we won’t hear anything until at least Wednesday as the technician said it took a while to thaw animals out.
Meanwhile back at base another cria was born early at 319 days but this one is viable and although its balance is not wonderful, I watched it fall over three times before it got to the milk, it seems OK. Fingers crossed and all that.
