We’ve had four more cria, two girls and two boys. A massive one arived this morning very early. It must have been a bit of a bloody birth as she had a red head and neck. I am afraid we didn’t see it at all and only realised there was an extra one when they all came in for weighing.

Chas got up briefly this morning to say hello to Matt who is doing work experience this week. He stayed upright for about an hour, went back to lie down, got up to come up the office and snarled at everyone and then went back to bed. It seems to be a very bad cold plus hay fever. He sounds like some old bloke in the snug, coughing and groaning and sneezing. Then Kyle, Matt and Andrew went off to retrieve the rest of a very large tree, these bits were really big and heavy and they were all pretty tired.

The vet phoned to say that our dead weanling had peritonitis, no sign of an ulcer, normal poo, low worm counts, not caused by the bluetongue vaccine. Oh well, we are not much the wiser really.
