We are just back from York having spent the night at middle son Alex’s lovely flat after a celebratory dinner. It was a great stopover after a visit to a worsted spinner just outside Bradford. This was extremely interesting as we were talked through the state of the art machinery making all sorts of yarns from natural fibres. We were very excited by it all but it does we mean we need loads of fleece to get up to the weights required – a ton of each colour and grade minimum. This has always been the case but it is even more important to get the ton weight price as everything is more expensive and our yarns need to be competitive with the Peruvians.
