John and I have spent the last two days grading – mostly fawn. The fawn is nowhere near as good as the white fleeces, a much higher proportion of coarse and a much lower proportion of baby. I ask the growers not to send in coarse but it keeps on coming. I have had a bath and feel much better now as I was covered in dust and grime and general yuck. John says he did not have a shower yesterday so his sheets are like the Turin Shroud, lovely, commiserations to Juliet.

The pictures I bought in Falmouth have just arrived by courier so I think we are going to have a moving pictures around and re-hanging session tonight. It has taken Chas half an hour to unwrap them but he is delighted with acres of second hand bubble wrap – easily pleased you see.

  1. Bubble wrap, it’s a man thing, John has a collection stashed away, all of different sized bubbles!

  2. i used to work in a bus garage, occasionally some of the parts were delivered in bubble wrap with bubbles the size of saucers.. i used to put it on the floor and jump all over it, because the garage was huge it used to echo and sounded like gun fire going off… a great stress buster….
