After yesterday’s bottom problem, we had a lovely prolapsed vagina today. We had to call the vet – on a Sunday – o horror, think of the bill, and he stitched her up. We haven’t had one of these before either although a client of ours did recently. His chickens woke him up at five in the morning and he toddled out to have a look and he found his stitched up girl with a foot coming through. He hastily cut the stitches and out came a lively cria.
Our girl is now in the birth field even though she isn’t due for a while so that we can keep a close eye on her.
We did our second round of bluetongue jabs today. Chas stabbing, Andrew holding and me whizzing up and down on the mule fetching the fields. All very efficient and we were finished by mid day so that Chas could have lunch and watch the start of the Grand Prix.
The most amazing news is that Kyle, Chas’s son, got a 2:1 from Teesside University in animation. He is severely dyslexic and getting all the final stuff together was a bit of a nightmare but he did it. Kyle is working at the Tivoli Cinema in Tiverton while finishing his show reel and trying to get a proper job in his field.

Oooo, well done Kyle! I didn’t know the Tivoli was still open, I thought it was going to close. Was there a local campaign to SAVE OUR CINEMA?
Alex A –
Nice one Kyle! That’s brilliant news.
Matt –
Well done on the degree, Kyle! See you on Wednesday
