The difficult halter trainees are much improved and I am hoping, I emphasise hoping, that they will see their way to walking nicely at the British Alpaca Futurity on Friday and Saturday. However, you never can tell, whether the one that was as good as gold doesn’t decide to kick off and spit all over your nice white shirt. The office is even more full of stuff that somehow has to fit into the car and trailer along with a load of alpacas. I have no idea how Chas is going to achieve this. We are taking the boys up tomorrow and Teresa and Paul Cullen are bringing the girls on Thursday afternoon. Some of them are pregnant so it is one less day away from home for them.

I hope those of you who read my missives will come along, have a drink and enjoy the spectacle. I shall be very glad when it is all underway as I am fed up with preparation now. I have ordered a new frock on the internet and I am hoping, please ParcelForce, that it will arrive before we leave. Otherwise it’s the spotty skirt again that I bought for last year’s barn party.

  1. We’ll see you there!! Looking forward to it; not so much looking forward to the drive down from sunny Northumberland though.
