We were feeling a bit paranoid having heard from several breeders that their weanlings were struggling with this weather and being fed twice a day. Yikes, we thought, are ours OK even though we body-scored them a couple of weeks ago. Ours have been outside all through this grim weather and are only being fed once a day. So in they came for a jolly weigh-in. Happily all was well and all had put on weight apart from one who had stayed the same but is such a big, hearty boy we didn’t think there was anything to worry about. Phew. We also had a stab at choosing juniors for the show team as they were almost dry! have a short list but no real decisions yet and there’s last year’s intermediates to look at. We are not in a great hurry as the first show we can go to is Alpaca Showtime as the National clashes with a big yarn show at Olympia that we had already booked.
