It was a non stop alpaca weekend what with breedings, buyers on the farm, a Discover Alpacas weekend…and the Proff arrived to see his animals which meant that we ate and drank a little too much before Chas’s sister arrived as well. So lots of interesting conversations and a good deal of walking to inspect all the animals. We have one little one who appears to have strained a joint in her leg so she is hopping around on three at the moment but I’m sure will be fine in a day or two. Probably too much hurtling round the field with all the other youngsters. The chicks are growing like mad and the next lot are in the incubator that sings to itself every time it turns them. Any visitors look very surprised when they hear this little tune. My esteemed cleaning lady arrived today – thank you lord, as the ironing pile was mountainous and all my knickers were buried in it somewhere. She has been very busy baling standing straw etc as it has been beautiful for ten days and apparently the rain is coming back tonight – not before my washing dries I hope.
