The vet came yesterday to take blood for the brucellosis test and do the TB tests for a group of alpacas going to France. Geoff is very good at taking blood, all very quick and easy. He also took blood from a couple of the stud males as they have to have their DNA done because they are the sires of our embryo transfer cria. We are going to do the same with the dams and the cria on Thursday whe he comes back to read the TB.
Andrew and Chas managed to extricate the mule from the fence line where it had slipped on the mud but then got the tractor caught up in the top wire of the fence – men! I was out in the field and saw a very splendid dog fox. Our old Bolivian girl was between him and the rest of the herd and saw him off. For a while the fox just stood and stared at me – he knows we do not have a gun and are harmless.
