Another big female cria arrived yesterday out of one of Chas’s black girls. She has a white fringe but Ikon has successfully erased all white in this cria which is a very dark brown, almost dark grey colour. It is always very nice to see all the alpacas again after a couple of days away. Joshua and I went out filling hay mangers frightening quite a few rabbits who sit underneath them presumably enjoying a free meal. Alice makes frantic efforts to catch them but always fails. We also saw some mistle thrushes which must have just arrived.
It was a beautiful warm, dry day and the lawnmower almost left the Greasy Barn but a thunderstorm arrived at five so we still have a field surrounding the house. I don’t want to send the alpacas in to eat it because they make a dreadful mess of the shrubs, they have a real taste for hebes
