There is an enormous magnolia in front of one of the churches in Tiverton that is in full bloom. It is stunning, I have to drive very, very sloewly past it so as to dink in its gorgeousness. I went to the Morrisom’s garage to fill up, virtually no queue at the time, and there was another amazing tree in blossom shaped like a small weeping willow. My camelias are fantastic too particularly the red one which is loaded with flowers for the first time ever – a bit slow to mature but it is away now. I have started digging the vegetable garden, it is almost a lawn now, so it is going to take a while. There is a row of something doing very well that I planted last year but I haven’t a clue what it is. Our four cria are doing well but the next three pregnant females clearly can’t be bothered to do anything much except sunbathe, giving birth appears far from their minds.
We are going to see a puppy tonight, a black and white cavapoo. How ridiculous is that – a cross between a Cavalier King Charles and a Toy Poodle. We have tried to resist getting another dog but really miss having one around…!
The vet was here yesterday to castrate seven boys who will be going off to their new homes shortly. All went smoothly and they came up to the barn this morning to make sure their wounds were OK. They were.
