Very busy trying to catch up on breedings post party as there was a fortnight’s gap. This is not helped by the fact that the last eleven to birth are determined to be late, very annoying of them. The stud males are all pumped up and very strong, it is a good thing the females spit at them so convincingly. Chas had a sudden excess of DIY and we now have blinds in the office which is excellent as before when it was sunny (ha ha, what sun) we had to prop a bit of cardboard up to see our screens. I also had a week of medics with the dentist, the diabetic clinic, a diabetic retinopathy where they take pretty pictures of your eyes and a new blood nurse at the GP’s surgery who was not very good and before failing to get any blood out of my arm started wiggling the needle about. Outraged patient leaps from chair and tells her to stop. Must be the same one who couldn’t get blood out of Joshua’s arm. The best thing since the party was listening to the Simon Bolivar orchestra playing Mahler’s 2nd at the Proms, it was wonderful.
