Our main fund raiser the Silent Auction of Stud Services starts in the New Year and we’ve had a good number of breeders donating services. So it is a big thank you to Susan Myerscough at Alpacas of Wales, Jenny and Graham MacHarg at Fowberry Alpacas in Yorkshire, Liz Barlow of Livanti Alpacas and Roger Mount at Snowshill Alpacas. These are a welcome addition to the services that will be donated by the originating sponsors, that’s us, the Alpaca Stud, Bozedown, Moonsbrook, Houghton Hall and EP Cambridge.
The weather is still filthy, Dawn Crawford rang and said they had thunder, lightning and hail in Cornwall, ours is not so dramatic, just driving sleet. I’ve got to go out in it shortly as a whole load of yarn has arrived from the ballers, rose pink, jade and buttermilk, so I will be staggering to the Post Office with the back orders. Thank god we’ve got a franking machine and don’t have to queue. You do get the filthiest looks as you whizz past the line snaking into the street and dump your parcels in the window.
