Our first cria arrived yesterday – a little early as the dam was not 11 months until March 6. Hmm that rather ruins my theory that our girls always go to 12 months in the spring – well they certainly have for the last two years. It is a brown CME Tulaco Centurion girl. It is small but was sitting up quickly and attempting to stand within half an hour and is suckling although not moving around a great deal. Rapid moving around of fields followed as this group were down the track quite a way away from the office. They are safely in the birth field now so the other three who are due in the first week of March will almost certainly hang on until April now – sod’s law and all that.
