Katie at the Alpaca Stud has been busy working out what the progeny of our jointly owned male Dovecote Jaquinto have done in the show ring. There are 150 progeny registered and they have won four supreme championships, 24 championships, six reserve championships, 68 first places, 47 2nd places and 72 other places. That’s amazing, he is such a lovely boy although a little snooty, and his fleece statistics on his seventh fleece frtom 2020 are 22.4 micron SD 5.2 and CV 23.2. We are so pleased with him and when we put him over Tulaco Centurion daughters there are some excellent results with that lovely dark fawn colour of Centurion coming through loud and clear. All that cheered me up as well as the sunshine today. It has been so damp and misty and the fields were getting all disgusting and muddy again, yuck. A week of sunshine would be so wondrous…please.
