Here are some of the 2011 crop, getting bored with watching the photographer – me – getting a wet bum from sitting on the grass. Still they do look sweet. We were up at six to get the alpacas up to go through the pregnant ones with the good old scanner – it never lies and nearly everyone is pregnant. Couple of very annoying youngsters may not be. They are maidens and in the show team – even more annoying but it is all too late now so we’ll have to wait and see for another month or otherwise have another go in the spring. The maidens tend to be a bit unpredictable, some catch first time and others clearly are not ready until they are 18 months old or so. Alpaca World magazine has gone off to the printers so it should be on the doormats in about a week. I’m pleased with this one as it is packed with articles that I find gripping. Will you?
