It was really cold last night so, great joy, we powered up the woodburner and enjoyed the glorious warmth. I have been building up the log store as Andrew did a bit of chain sawing the other day. My walls were sadly depleted but are growing again. I had to push the back wall of logs up against the wall as they were coming away and it looked as if I might have a dramatic fall. Joshua is better at this than me but as he is in London, I am the official log person.

We’ve had a late cria today, a Paris daughter. She is a big strong cria and was up on her feet when I came back up to the top of the farm after feeding everyone. Always difficult to spray on the iodine with one hand when the cria is trying to run away. I was running around like a complete nutter this morning as the phone kept ringing, I was in charge of feeding and the magazine had to have its final proof reading and I had an appointment with the hygenist and there was posting to do and a visit to the bank for Chas. It was almost relaxing being buffed up after the morning I had had.
