Phew, I’ve finished the fleece samples and they are ready to go except that we haven’t got the up to date MAF clearance form to get them into New Zealand, hell, the best laid plans etc, so I have to wait until SGS email it to me. So annoying when you’re all geared up to do something and you fail!
Tonight we are off to France for the French Show which is at the Chateau Pompadour near Bergerac. There’s quite a large contingent from the UK going over so it should be fun with, hopefully, some excellent Australian gossip from those who have just returned from their National Show. As we will be in a wine growing area I am hoping to acquire a few bottles and a load of confit de canard for those evenings when cooking is out of the question but opening a tin and making a salad just about OK. We looked at flights but they are a bit like buses to Tiverton. You can get there but it is a week before you can get back and anyway Chas loves driving and we’ll enjoy ourselves whizzing through the French countryside and putting the world to rights.
