Irritable fox versus Havanese terrier Alice (known as fluffball) fox wins. We were down in the bottom field attending to mending water troughs, dealing with gates that don’t close properly etc. as a break from doing accounts. Suddenly Alice who had wandered off to chase a rabbit comes hurtling past us at full pelt with a fox in hot pursuit. The fox caught her once and she screamed but then Chas who was in the mule drove at the fox who shot off into the hedge. Alice did not stop until she got home and is still panting. I imagine it was a vixen and Alice had disturbed her and her cubs. I have never seen a fox chase a dog before. Such excitement in the country.
