My hair has been causing me a lot of angst so it was three hours in the salon for me today to remove all traces of grey. I now have a slightly wierd spikey head of hair that is quite fun. However it does require some maintenance so I had to go to Boots and buy a hair dryer. I don’t think I have ever owned one so this is all very exciting. Also bought various bottles of stuff to give the ancient locks more ‘body’ – well you never know, it might work. Then I ambled around TK Max while in Exeter and did a rapid Sainsbury’s shop. Thought I had better stock up the freezer as we are off to France with some alpacas on Monday evening leaving youngest son Joshua and our work experience Dutch boy Rick to empty fridge and freezer. Hopefully they will dine on lots of eggs as the hens have gone bananas and we are overflowing with white, dark brown, beige and blue eggs from my motley collection of birds.
Big treat in store tomorrow – the British Alpaca Society Annual Meeting. These meetings are normally a spectator sport of unparalleled ferocity with lots of unsubstantiated accusations flying around the room. The members of the board are always deeply affronted by this as they are volunteers and work frightfully hard etc etc. We have all been there and nothing changes. Let’s hope the lunch is good.
