It’s been absolutely freezing for several days, minus 4 in the barn this morning and as per usual all our water is frozen up. I hauled gallons of it on Saturday and Sunday and various muscles have reappeared as big aches. We also found a dead black foetus, that’s annoying, but we are not sure whose it was yet. One of the black girls wasn’t herself the other day when they came back for a nice dose of cydectin so maybe it was her as she seems right as rain now.
Kyle has been playing with his little helicopter. When I went out of the office I was greeted with the sound of a very large bee. It has a camera attached to it now so he was filming grass, we could get some wacky alpaca pictures too depending on how they view a giant bee.
This Saturday we hosted the SWAG fibre day when Chas pontificated in the morning and Jean Field in the afternoon. We cleared all the boxes and bags out of the office – two pallet fulls – so that we could get 27 chairs in. Good opportunity for a sort out when we get round to it. I haven’t even put my rosettes up in the barn from 2009 and 2010 – cheers up an otherwise boring building. Anyway everyone seemed to enjoy it and the lunch went down well, no cooking disasters or panic. We are still eating the leftovers.
Bernard Northmore –
Thanks very much indeed for hosting the event on Saturday – everyone seemed to find it useful, interesting and enjoyable. Starting with chocolate brownies with coffee and then having chocolate bread and butter pudding after lunch really made my day. Can you see a theme there ?
