Goodbye jet stream, we have sunshine today – at last. The alpacas are lying around sunbathing and have given up eating hay as they have dry grass, what a treat. We have loads of cria on the ground now, 35 plus, all alive and well, fingers crossed, two more Ntherough babes arrived this afternoon. The older ones tear around the fields like complete nutters chasing rabbits and any passing pheasants.

A group of commercial breeders had a meeting with some of the British Alpaca Society board yesterday. It was quite good humoured really, not like the serious gladiatorial AGMs that we have experienced in the past. It appeared to be constructive but as we are a load of cynics we await any action on the part of the board with interest. Will they take any notice of our opinions?
