Friday was results day for Joshua at UCL. The degree results were due to go up on a board somewhere at 5oclock. I was sat nervously at my desk from 5 to 5.30 but no phone call. Hasty retreat to house for spine stiffening glass of wine and then, great news, Joshua got a first, one of three in biology. I was/am so thrilled for him as he worked very hard and the long revising sessions were a little dull but of course necessary.

We had a great shopping day getting much of the list of stuff required for his three month internship in Madagascar. Last stop was the diving shop on a farm near Cullompton where I get my compressed air bottle filled up which powers my gun. As Josh and I know absolutely nothing about snorkels or reef boots this was the place to go as they clearly did.

Yesterday we finally caught up with our clients and a FEMALE Kazzan black cria arrived. I was getting very fed up that they were getting the girls and we weren’t. The cria is big and very strong and today is honing its sprinting skills with its anguished mother traipsing round the field after it.
