Much amazement here at the scenes at Branscombe beach on the news of all those people trundling away with booty from the container ship. I’d like to go and see it but suspect there are far too many people and the police sound as if they are getting a bit irritable. It is not far away at all from my favourite beach Charmouth where I like to go for walks and look for fossils. Some people go up on the cliffs but I think they must be insane as there are falls all the time and the best fossils are washed up on the tide.

We have sunshine today and it is a lot colder. The alpacas are drying nicely and starting to look beautiful again. We are worming the whole herd again as some of the youngsters seem to be carrying an excessive parasite burden. We would not expect this normally as they were all done in October but it is probably the warmth that’s doing it. We have heard from other breeders that they are experiencing similar problems.
