Oh dear, two of the ten female alpacas whose cria were weaned yesterday have escaped to try and rejoin their offspring. We moved the two into another field and one promptly escaped again into the stud male field. Chaos ensued, that was an error, girl. We have moved them yet again to a field closer to the office so that we can keep an eye on their new career moves as alpaca Houdinis. Hopefully they will settle down in a few days and can go back to the main herd. The weanlings themselves seem reasonably happy and are not trying to escape…yet. Fingers crossed and all that.
