At last we have two cria on the ground for 2010. A white Jaquinto boy and the first cria from CME Paris, a dark fawn girl. They are both really nice looking cria, straight legs, lots of presence, fleece etc. I can’t wait to see what emerges from two of last year’s show team who are ready to pop too. This is the exciting bit or the o hell bit if your breeding decisions turn out to be not quite right.
Chas has returned from taking some alpacas over to France. I was not allowed to go as he claimed I was too expensive. Could this be because I insist on a posh cabin and am inevitably drawn to the most expensive wines. Or was he secretly collecting some floozie from Plymouth for a night of sin courtesy of Brittany ferries. Who knows…but he did seem quite pleased to see me on his return.
Off to see the solicitor today as we are buying a new 14 acre field. It is a lovely field with lots of mature trees and plenty of hedges that need dealing with so my woodshed will be full this winter. A full woodshed is a thing of joy for me. There is about a mile of fencing to go up which we are going to do. That should improve my muscle tone.

A full woodshed is a thing of joy for anyone!

I liked Jaquinto prior to the Futurity, but even more after. Jaquinto leaves a great footprint.
As for wood in the woodshed I totally agree. There is something nice and comforting about a full woodshed 🙂
