Just one more pregnant alpaca to give birth now. We had yet another boy yesterday but he was a solid fawn out of a slightly stripey black by Tulaco Centurion so it was a pretty good result. It will be quite sad when the births are all over as it is the most exciting thing that happens. Still dry here which is astonishing. So dry that I have had to water my plants on the terrace as they were staring at me accusingly.
We were hoping to go t Vierzon this weekend for the alpaca show there but work has overtaken us and we have had to admit defeat. Partly it is because we will be manning the UK Alpaca stand at the Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace next week – it is a four day show so we won’t have time to do much else and there are breedings to be done, Futurity work and so on. As I have just finished the magazine my desk is slightly improved, at least two heaps have disappeared entirely althogh that could be because the heap on the floor has got a bit bigger.
I had a nice wander round the dump this morning as I had to take in two dead, leaking printers and an ancient fax machine. If ever you need a sink or a loo for the barn our dump is the best place to go costing very little and perfectly good.
