Joshua has made it to Peru for his ‘awfully big adventure’. We conveyed him to Heathrow on Thursday and he flew to Miami. There was a five hour wait for the flight to Lima but a big electrical storm delayed the flight. But he made it in the end and now there is a local flight to Iquitos, then a four day boat trip with the academics and other students before he gets to the research station of Operation Wallacea for six weeks. Wow, what an amazing trip. He’ll get to see all sorts of amazing plants and animals and no doubt some gorgeous biting insects.
It is life as normal back here, we’re not going anywhere, sob sob!
