We have had lots of lovely comments about the Futurity – thank you all very much, it is warm glow time. Meanwhile our Futurity inquest meeting is next week when decisions about next year will be taken. There was much head scratching today to find a meeting place given that the A303 is closed and the traffic queues sound horrendous.

Back here it has been dry all week and we’ve been able to get Andrew out there cleaning the fields. Now there is no grass AND no poo. We have weaned the last seventeen young ones who have joined the older weanlings. They are having a great time chasing around together and there hasn’t been much moaning and groaning. There are snowdrops everywhere and the wild daffodils have buds. Every morning when I go outside to drink my morning tea the birds are singing like crazy with our own percussionist, the woodpecker, in the background.
