Chas set off at teatime yesterday to collect our stud males that have been working in Hampshire and West Sussex. He returned with Tulaco Centurion, Dovecote Jaquinto and Kurrawa Micah. We’ve got plenty of work for them so they will be hard at it every day until we have got through all the girls who need breeding. My lopsided cria is still alive and kicking though unfortunately still lopsided. She is eating well and growing and appears perfectly cheerful but clearly the antibiotics have had no effect. Ah well we’ll just have to see what happens.

We have had more feet to deal with, it seems to be a very bad year for tootsies what with torn pads and little bits of pus between the toes. They all clear up pretty quickly once cleaned and sprayed. I suppose it must be the incessant damp as normally alpaca feet do not cause any problems.
