The ARI conference had plenty of papers on camels. Lulu Skidmore, very big wheel in camels, made me giggle when she announced that she was much better at the back end of a camel than on a computer. We discovered that female racing camels can go on racing until they are 12 years old and don’t reproduce until their career is over. It makes alpaca breeding look quite fast.

My cold is getting better now although Chas still pours benylin down my throat every time I cough. It is absolutely revolting stuff. He likes it, I have no idea why. Instead of walking into soup in Texas, my brain has turned into soup instead. I woke up a bit yesterday so we went through all our female fields scanning and we’ve got 45 girls who are settled. Most of the others are coming up to 60 days so we should have a bit more time soon.
